The project aims to increase the number of NAATI accredited and recognised interpreters in ‘new and emerging’ languages of demand in both metropolitan and selected regional areas around Australia.
NAATI is pleased to announce it is now accepting registrations for the New Interpreters Project to be delivered in Melbourne.
Workshop Duration: 15 hours
Successful applicants must attend both sessions and complete all 15 workshop hours
How to apply
Confirm your language is eligible (refer to new and emerging language list in the Information Booklet - N Form).
Complete all parts of the Application for NAATI New Interpreters Project form available from NAATI.
Check the New and Emerging Language List first to see whether you need to complete the A Form or the R Form.
Complete an A Form Application for Accreditation by Testing or the R Form Application for Recognition.
R Forms must be accompanied by official references (see Part 4).
Recognition cannot not be granted until all eligibility criteria have been met.
Include proof of identification and passport photos verified and signed by a witness as specified in the forms.
Follow the checklist provided in the forms to ensure you have completed all the sections and submitted all required documentation.
Do not send any money. There will be no cost to people who are approved to participate in the project
All applications will be reviewed and successful participants will be notified in writing.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
