RMIT Interpreting students were advised on how to prepare for an interpreting booking by All Graduates CEO Ismail Akinci

All Graduates is commited to providing professional development opportunities for existing Interpreters and Translators, and about-to-graduate students.

On Tues 8 May, CEO of All Graduates, Ismail Akinci delivered a 60 minute session to Diploma of Interpreting and Translating students at Melbourne's RMIT University.

Ismail stressed the importance of comprehensive client and subject research,  acknowledging the varying client types and maintaining professionalism at all times in order to deliver the highest quality service.  Additionally, he emphasised several key administration tasks that can make or break an interpreting career. These included scheduling adequate travel time to bookings, diary management and the allocation of assignments.

The fifty-strong class of Cantonese, Chin, Hakka, Japanese, Mandarin, Oromo and Tedim students, who were at different levels of experience, aim to complete their Interpreting qualification in order to be considered for work at Melbourne-based agencies, including All Graduates.
