How the service works
- the call is answered by the automated IVR service
- follow the prompts to request the required language and connect to an interpreter
- where an interpreter is not immediately available, the call will transfer to a human operator to assist
- if you need further assistance at any stage, you may choose the option to connect to a human operator
- the operator can assist with locating and connecting an interpreter
Before you call
- confirm the language and dialect, where known
- have the relevant client, matter or service reference available
- know your DCJ division / service area
- have the other party’s contact details if a three-way call is required
- be ready to provide brief context once the interpreter is connected
Live prompts remain the source of truth.
